Etang Damvillers is owned and operated by the Carpsure Group. Based in the UK and France, we are a specialist Carp syndicate consisting of dedicated Carp anglers. All syndicate members are shareholders and play a major role in the running and development of the fishery.

Our members are all vastly experienced carp anglers with extensive knowledge of the carp scene in the UK, Europe and the USA. Between us, we have fished hundreds of French lakes, from the large public lakes to the small private etangs. The Group was formed in 1999 for the sole purpose of developing a premier French fishery that lives up to our own high expectations. After an extensive 4 year search, this fishery was selected and finally acquired in 2004. Primarily chosen for the excellent water quality and well balanced aquatic environment, we believe it offers us the potential to create one of the finest carp fisheries in Europe. Already well established and with a good head of large carp present, our Phase 1 stocking was completed in 2005 and consisted of the addition of 160 carp between 30-45lbs. The fishery stocking policy is being developed in consultation with Industry experts and fish biologists both in the UK and France.

Phase ii stocking took place in December 2006. 35 new fish were added. 6 of these fish weighed between 51lb and 55lb (including a 54lb common), 7 fish were between 40lb and 48lb. The balance were between 25lb and 38lb.

The 2007 season has now produced 14 different fish over 50lb and 32 different 40’s. Our biggest Carp landed in 2007 weighed 58lb 05oz (mirror).

We continue to feed our fish daily throughout the winter closed season in accordance with our consultant biologists recommendations. We continue to strive for maximum healthy growth of our fish.  

Etang Damvillers is primarily for the exclusive use of syndicate members and their guests however several weeks are available each year and the lake can be booked on an exclusive or individual basis. Optional Drive & Survive or Lakeside B&B accommodation. 

Etang Damvillers, is registered and authorised to trade in France as a Societe Civile Immobiliere (SCI) and is a non-profit organisation, which operates and manages this fishery for the sole benefit of its members.
